With time I started to feel the need to include my private life into representations of Mexican urban scenes. At first these attempts were shy and discrete but slowly I became more comfortable with exposing my ‘full self”.

It was in this period that I became aware of how much books and bookshelves have  the power to portray the person to whom they belong and started my line of paintings in this subject.
